Scope note, stated plainly: these are website terms. They govern use of northcanroofing.com. They are not roofing contract terms and they must never be drafted or presented as though they were. NorthCan's contract terms (scope, payment, holdback under the Construction Act, RSO 1990, c C.30, liens, delay, warranty, limitation of liability, dispute resolution) are a separate document that carries real money and real risk. That document is for a licensed Ontario construction lawyer, not for us and not for a template. The limitation and indemnity clauses below are drafted to be reasonable for a brochure website and would be inadequate and possibly unenforceable if reused in a construction contract.

These terms govern your use of northcanroofing.com (the "site"), operated by NorthCan Roofing Inc., 425 Alness Street, Toronto, Ontario M3J 2T8. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
2. These terms are not a contract for roofing work
Nothing on this site is an offer to perform work, and nothing on it forms a contract between you and NorthCan. Any roofing work we carry out is governed by a separate written contract signed by both of us. If anything on this site conflicts with that contract, the contract governs.
3. Information on this site
We work to keep the information on this site accurate and current, but roofing systems, prices, availability and regulations change. Information here is provided for general guidance.
Our cost calculator gives an indicative budget range only. It is not a quote or an estimate. It is generated from typical rates, not from an inspection of your roof, and we are not bound by its output. For a price we will stand behind, ask us for a written quote.
Descriptions of roofing systems, materials and methods are general. What is right for your building depends on your deck, your existing assembly, your drainage, your access and your budget, and we will advise on that specifically when we inspect.
4. Quotes and estimates
Requesting a quote through this site does not create a contract and does not oblige either of us to proceed. A quote we give you is valid for the period stated on it. Work begins only when we have a signed contract.
5. Intellectual property
The content of this site, including text, photographs of our own projects, graphics and layout, is owned by NorthCan Roofing Inc. or used by us with permission, and is protected by the Copyright Act, RSC 1985, c C-42 and the Trademarks Act, RSC 1985, c T-13.
You may view, download and print pages for your own use or to evaluate our services. You may not republish our content, use it commercially, or copy our photographs, without our written permission.
Trademarks of manufacturers and other third parties appearing on this site belong to their respective owners and are used to identify products and services. Their appearance does not imply any endorsement of NorthCan except where we say so expressly.
6. Links to other websites
We may link to other websites. We do not control them and we are not responsible for their content, their products or their privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement.
